Uber has launched a new car service to complement its existing business in New York City.
The company announced the new service today at its annual CEO meeting.
The new service will offer rides in the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan and will allow passengers to pick up and drop off passengers at designated locations within a 45-minute window.
Uber says the new car is designed to help riders pick up riders faster in the busy downtown area.
“Today we are launching our new fleet of vehicles that will give New Yorkers an additional layer of safety, flexibility and convenience, allowing people to pick-up and drop-off customers at designated pickup points within the city’s busiest commercial corridors,” Uber CEO Travis Kalanick said in a statement.
Uber’s service is available in three locations: in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan.
